What The Lord Taught Me About Forgiveness!

Forgiving people can be so hard!!!! It is definitely not an easy thing to do without the Lord’s help! For a long time forgiveness was something I struggled with tremendously. It was so hard for me to forgive people and move on from what they did that hurt me. Until the Lord began to help me understand what forgiveness really is! One night I was talking with the Lord about a particular situation that caused me great pain! I was pouring out my heart to him about this situation and asking him to help me to get over it and let it go! At that moment He urged me to look up the meaning of the word forgive and to my surprise I discovered that forgiving someone simply means to stop being angry and resentful about what they did that hurt me!

I was so amazed at the Lord and blessed by His revelation! I felt so empowered because I realized that forgiving others was not impossible!!! The Lord truly makes the impossible possible!! Because He truly made the impossible possible for me that night! I finally understood clearly what the Lord wanted me to do and I was able to do it with his help! So now whenever I have to forgive someone I pray and ask the Lord to help me to stop being angry about what they did that hurt me. So that I can let it go! Then the Lord, so full of love and grace, always hears me and removes the anger from my heart and heals the pain! So that I can interact with the person who hurt me with a loving and caring heart without keeping a record of their wrongs and holding a grudge against them ( 1 Corinthians 13:5)!

Beautiful woman of God He can do the same for you! You do not have to carry the weight of all the pain that has been inflicted upon you by people! The Lord loves you and He deeply cares for you! He also cares about the condition of your heart! He does not want you to be weighed down by the anger, bitterness, and resentment that stems from unforgiveness! He desires for you to be free from these negative emotions and live in the comfort of His love, joy, and incomparable peace!The Lord called you to live a life of peace ( Malachi 2:5; Colossians 3:15)!!!! So amazing woman of God, give all of your pain to the Lord and let him heal you! He is so near to the brokenhearted and He rescues those whose spirits are crushed (Psalm 34:18). Let him strengthen you and help you to forgive so that your heart will be full of His joy and his peace! Because the Lord desires for you to be happy and enjoy your life to the fullest (John :1010)!

Prayer Of Forgiveness

Lord I lift up to you all the hurt and the pain I am experiencing from those who have hurt me! Lord empower me by the power of your Holy Spirit to stop being angry about what they did that hurt me and help me to forgive them, pray for them, and to not hold a grudge against them for what they have done! Lord heal me from the pain that I am carrying in my heart and in my mind and surround me with your love, joy, and peace! In Jesus name I pray amen!
